Butterfly Sabres

I have long owned a "cheap"set of  hudiedao, also known as butterfly sabres or swords, but always wanted to forge a good set for sale. So here they are. 

All hand forged from 1075 high carbon steel, hand shaped stainless steel guards, with bloodwood timber and stainless steel rivets. They are completely flat on one side, and fit together in the hand thanks to the D shaped handles. They slot together in a black lacquered timber sheath.

Sgian Dubh & Dirk Set

A two knife Scottish set comprising a Sgian Dubh and a Scottish Dirk. The Sgian Dubh is the traditional single edged, short bladed utility knife, worn in the sock(hose). The Dirk is the traditional long bladed utility knife and is worn on the belt or at the waist. While both were used as weapons in the past, they have now become utility knives and are seen as part of the full dress for military and pipe band uniforms. 

Our set is designed as an every day, otherwise known as a hunting set, rather than a full ceremonial dress set. But could be used as either.

They are both forged from 1075 high carbon steel, with a beautiful two-tone gidgee timber for the handles and bronze guards. The Dirk also has a bronze pommel fitted, and both come with practical brown leather sheaths.

Wenge Cutlass

This is an unusually shaped knife with a broad upswept blade almost in a cutlass style. Blade is forged 1075 high carbon steel, full tang with a brass pommel and cross guard. Handle is wenge timber and it come with a black leather stacked sheath.

Antler Fighter

This fighter has a 52100 high carbon steel blade with a sharpened swedge. The handle is deer antler with a brass and copper cross guard and a full tang ending in a brass pommel with a lanyard hole. Comes with a leather sheath.

Bosun’s Knife

A naval style boat or “Pusser’s” knife in 1075 high carbon steel with a full tang ending in a brass pommel with lanyard hole and an ironbark timber handle.
