Bermagui hugs the edges of its spectacular harbour, under the shadow of Gulaga Mountain (Mt Dromedary) on the beautiful Sapphire Coast of NSW, Australia.

A small, vibrant seaside town it is recognised for its breathtaking scenery, diverse range of attractions and services and a unique mix of events, arts and music culture.

Bermagui is famous for its deep sea and game fishing, including yellow fin tuna and marlin, and estuary fishing in the surrounding rivers and lakes. Take a charter, hire a boat or launch your own, find the perfect shoreside spot and throw in a line.

Swim, surf, sail, water ski, stand up paddle board, kayak, dive or snorkel at pristine beaches and safe shallow waterways. Just north of town, Wallaga Lake is ideal for all types of water sports.

Experience magnificent scenery, coastal bush walks, quiet beaches and lakes and nearby national parks and state forests. Don’t miss the world-renowned and award-winning Blue Pool, Horse Head Rock, Camel Rock or a guided tour of the historic Montreal Goldfield, Australia’s only seaside goldfield.

You will be spoilt for choice with the variety of dining styles. Seafood, Italian, Asian, European, modern Australian, a la carte, bistro style pub and club meals, pizza, vegetarian, casual cafes, waterside eateries and wine bars.

There is a range of accommodation — in town, out of town, beachside, lakeside or in the bush. There are four caravan parks, all on the water’s edge and all with excellent facilities.

Bermagui, a destination that borders on perfection, a coastal haven at the northern entrance to the Sapphire Coast. Explore, experience … it is simply inspiring and beautifully uncivilised.
